NBA superstar Stephen Curry will make his children’s literature debut later this year. People magazine reports

The Golden State Warriors point guard will publish I have a super powera picture book illustrated by Geneva Bowers (Magic like that) in the fall. It will be the first book from Curry’s company Unanimous Publishing and will be co-published with Penguin Workshop.

The book aims to teach children the power of perseverance and a positive attitude. The publisher describes the book as an “empowering story that teaches kids that you don’t have to be the strongest, fastest, or even tallest kid on the field. As long as you have the heart, any goal is achievable with hard work and determination – even without a cape!’

Curry is considered by basketball observers to be one of the best players in the NBA and one of the best point guards in the history of the league. He has won three NBA championships with the Warriors and has been named the league’s most valuable player twice.

He told People that he wanted to write a book “that inspired young readers to believe in their passion.”

“Children are truly our future, and I hope this special book empowers the next generation and reminds them to keep dreaming big,” Curry said.

I have a super power is scheduled for release on September 6. A second picture book will follow next year.
